Since July, we’ve been doing a series of posts focusing on Nantucket, taking you through information about the Kitchen Tour, spotlighting the Seven Seas Gallery and showing you scenes from Nantucket that really caught Sue’s eyes this summer. Now we want to highlight the Nantucket Historical Society’s approved historic paint colors. Made by Fine Paints of Europe, the colors are gorgeous and keep the island true to its historical roots.  Here’s a look at our favorite shades and how they’re used throughout the island:

Nantucket Red MHC-5 used on the front door with White MHC-1 trim

White MHC-1 walls with Nantucket Gray MHC-11 on the brick and trim

Cobblestone MHC-7 on the trim

White MHC-1 with Hussey Green MHC-12

Gardner Green MHC-10 on the trim

Newport Blue MHC-6 on the front door with White MHC-1 on the railing and window trim

Hussey Green MHC-12 on the front door with White MHC-1 on the planters and house

The gray’s and blues have become go-to colors for SBL’s designs – both inside and outside. We hope you find the same inspiration in these historical colors that we do!
