Christening Ceremony with Marina’s Godmother Mary Hart: Property of S.B. Long Interiors

I flew to Miami last weekend for a special event – the Inaugural Cruise of Marina– Oceania Cruise Lines new flagship. I was invited to attend this momentous occasion because S.B. Long Interiors designed Marina’s luxurious Owners Suites. They are the first Suites at Sea exclusively designed using Ralph Lauren Home furnishings.

Luxurious Owner’s Suite Living Room decked in Ralph Lauren Home: Property of S.B. Long Interiors

I hosted a party Sunday night to talk to media editors and travel agents about all the details of the Owner’s Suites. Upon touring the Suites, everyone was struck by the stately, yet sleek décor and the attention to detail which made most comment that they felt like they had entered a sophisticated NYC apartment. Bob Binder, Oceania Cruise Line’s President, tells me the Suites are sold out!

Great design sensibility! clean lines, strong graphic prints and those accents of metal and glass that sparkle and shine. seems more a website than a blog to me but good looking pics… would like to see more.

About

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by design and the subtle impact of our surroundings.  Some of my earliest influences still resonate – I think of the dark woods and textured lodens of my father’s shooting club, the smell of fresh paint on a new canvas, and the bold symmetry of the Philip Johnson Glass house just down the street.
