Visitors at last year's Nantucket Kitchen Tour on Flora Street.
The 2011 Summer Kitchen Tour in Nantucket is coming up this week, and we wholeheartedly recommend a visit. Presented by the Nantucket Preservation Trust, this year’s kitchen tour is in the historic Milk Street neighborhood and will take place Thursday, July 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
In addition to getting inspired by lovely kitchens, guests will also get to see local chefs making and offering up delectable food, participate in a raffle of kitchen items and shop the largest Kitchen Marketplace yet. Lulu Powers, Fran Karttunen and others also will be signing cookbooks during the tour.
As Sue has been to the tour in the past, we also want to offer S.B. Long Interiors blog readers an inside scoop: Although the event is called a kitchen tour, you actually get to walk through the whole house, making it all the more worth it!
